MBOX mailbox
A plain-text format that stores many emails in one file, each starting with a line that begins with 'From '. Thunderbird keeps folders this way, and Google Takeout exports Gmail as MBOX. Convert from MBOX to read or search a mailbox export without importing it into a mail client.
